The IP-OCTAL-232 provides eight asynchronous full duplex receiver/transmitter EIA-232-D serial channels. Quadruple buffering the receiver data permits higher data rates with longer interrupt service latencies. Eighteen programmable baud rates to 38.4 Kbaud, plus programmable bit length, parity and stop bits meets virtually all asynchronous communications protocols.
