The 5211 is a VME64, single MAC FDDI controller suitable for both link level and on-board protocol processing. Providing both single and dual attach connectivity, the 5211 features a high performance architecture which utilizes custom Interphase ASICs for optimized DMA transfers and an innovative split buffered architecture which allows for full data movement through the board without any real time involvement from the host CPU.
